The De Beers Group's Trainee Sorter Internship Programme 2024 / 2025 aims to develop the understanding and skills of sorting and valuing rough diamonds based on the 4C's principles. The role involves on-the-job training, requiring candidates to sort and value rough diamond production while growing their understanding. Responsibilities include ensuring tasks are performed safely, adhering to organizational SHE standards, reporting unsafe conditions, maintaining security, integrity, and confidentiality of product and company intellectual property, escalating security non-compliances, completing production workloads to agreed quality standards, operating sorting technology safely, accurately capturing data, and performing routine operations on computer systems. The role requires active team participation and physical capability. Competencies include good communication, honesty, integrity, deadline-driven work, detail-consciousness, reliability, flexibility, enthusiasm, effective timekeeping, and computer literacy. Previous diamond valuation/grading experience is advantageous.
