Old Mutual Investment Group is seeking a Junior Quantitative Analyst to join its Actuarial, Risk and Quants (ARQ) team within the Liability Driven Investment (LDI) business unit. This role supports the team in managing, valuing, and analyzing liabilities, while also contributing to quantitative research and modelling to support portfolio management. The role is part of Old Mutual’s Investment Analyst Programme, aimed at developing future investment professionals through hands-on training and mentorship over 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform portfolio optimization to generate risk-optimal investment portfolios
• Conduct quantitative valuation of financial instruments and liabilities
• Measure and report on portfolio performance and attribution
• Develop and execute quantitative projects to advance portfolio and risk management techniques
• Collaborate on research into quantitative and algorithmic investment strategies
• Assist with technical reporting and marketing deliverables to internal and external stakeholders
• Address and manage technical client or consultant queries with precision and professionalism

Qualifications

• NQF Level 7 - Degree, Advance Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate or equivalent
