Palabora Copper (Pty) Ltd is inviting Ba-Phalaborwa Communities to apply for Artisan Aide Skills Programme Opportunity. Successful candidates will enter into a 3 months fixed term contract with Palabora Copper (Pty) Ltd. Candidates who achieve excellent results (ie based on technical aptitude and core trade modules) may be invited to join onto Artisan Development learnerships, upon completion of the Artisan Skills Programs.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, installs, maintains, and repairs mechanical components, including gears and shafts
• Fabricates, installs, and repairs boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels
• Operates lathes, milling machines, and grinders to shape metal parts
• Designs and builds specialized tools, dies, and molds for manufacturing
• Joins metal components using techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding

Qualifications

• Matric(Grade 12)
