Description

This role is integral to Capitec’s Group Cloud FinOps function, with a primary responsibility for optimizing and modernizing Capitec’s cloud environment through advanced engineering solutions. This role benefits from exposure to a wide range of cloud services and product teams, thereby enhancing the individual's familiarity with diverse technologies and architectural patterns. We highly value innovative design thinking, a practical approach to implementing and managing engineered solutions, and a strong emphasis on incorporating feedback from internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions primarily on AWS
• Involve in Azure-based cloud solutions as required
• Develop and manage SQL queries and Python scripts to support data operations and build dashboards
• Act as an advisor within the team, providing recommendations and support to other departments and stakeholders

Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
• Hashicorp Terraform Certified Associate
• Proficiency in most notable AWS services such as EC2, RDS, Lambda-functions, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch and AWS QuickSights; and basic knowledge of Azure
• Relevant 3-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any
• 3-5 years of relevant experience Strong background in DevOps practices
