OVK is offering a learnership program designed for South African students interested in IT Development who aspire to become future programmers. This unique opportunity combines theoretical assessments and practical sessions to enhance programming skills. Participants will learn to write and maintain IT programs, provide IT services to management, and perform administrative duties. Upon completing the learnership, candidates will gain substantial knowledge to support a future career as a programmer.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain IT programs as assigned
• Assist in providing IT-related services and support to management
• Perform various administrative tasks related to IT
• Collaborate with team members on project deliverables
• Support the preparation of documentation for IT procedures
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and data
• Analyze program performance and identify potential improvements
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic IT issues as they arise

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in IT software development, or Currently in the final phase of a tertiary qualification in IT software development, or Currently in Grade 12 with at least 3 years of practical experience in the IT department
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Afrikaans and English
• Computer literate with strong organizational and numerical skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Capable of maintaining confidentiality
• Excellent interpersonal abilities and teamwork skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
