Description

The Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling operations within a facility from a centralized control room. This role ensures the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of systems and processes, responding to alarms, reporting issues, and coordinating field activities with on-site personnel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system operations via SCADA, DCS, or other control systems
• Respond to alarms, system alerts, and abnormal conditions
• Coordinate with field personnel to ensure timely and safe operations
• Maintain detailed logs and operational records for compliance and handovers
• Troubleshoot and escalate system faults or irregularities
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and emergency response plans

Qualifications

• Attention to detail
• Must be computer literate
• PSIRA Registered will be an advantage
• Good Communication Skills
