Description

The IT Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure, offering support across system maintenance, troubleshooting, updates, and user assistance. This role involves technical communication, incident management, hardware/software maintenance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for IT systems
  • Plan, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure with other teams
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues
  • Perform onsite installation and updates
  • Manage user accounts and access controls
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or Equivalent
  • Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Preferred Certifications: CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+
  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • ITIL Foundation (advantageous)
  • Cisco CCNA (advantageous)
  • Experience: 1–3 years in IT support, helpdesk, or technical support role
  • Experience supporting hybrid/remote teams (a plus)
  • Familiarity with: Active Directory
  • SQL
  • Exchange
  • Networking Infrastructure
