As a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Intern in the HRM&D department, you will play a key role in tracking, assessing, and improving the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. Your responsibilities will include assisting with data collection, performance monitoring, and outcome evaluation of various human resource projects such as training programs, employee engagement efforts, and workforce development plans. This internship offers hands-on experience with M&E tools and frameworks, while also enhancing your skills in data analysis and reporting. You’ll support the design of indicators, evaluate the impact of HR interventions, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing M&E tools for tracking HR programs and initiatives
• Support the collection, cleaning, and analysis of HR data related to training, performance, and workforce engagement
• Contribute to the development of indicators and baseline assessments
• Help prepare M&E reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders
• Participate in monitoring field activities such as employee feedback sessions or surveys
• Support the documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and recommendations
• Ensure M&E practices align with organizational standards and confidentiality protocols

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resource Management, Development Studies, Public Administration, Statistics, or a related field
• Basic understanding of Monitoring & Evaluation concepts, frameworks, and tools
• Familiarity with data collection methods, performance indicators, and report writing
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of statistical or data visualization tools is a plus
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
