Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Compliance Specialist to ensure adherence to tax regulations across multiple regions, including South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Mauritius. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing a tax compliance office, implementing best practices for tax governance, and ensuring all tax deadlines are met. You will oversee tax provision and compliance processes, manage audits, and maintain tax balances in the general ledger. Additionally, you will identify and mitigate tax risks, coordinate with accounting and advisory teams, and drive process improvements through innovative tax planning strategies. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work under pressure, and effective collaboration with senior leadership, EXCO, and Boards to align tax strategies with business objectives.   • Regulatory Oversight: Review and manage tax submissions for multiple regions, ensuring full compliance
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, EXCO, and Boards to align tax strategies with business goals

Qualifications

  • B-Com in Accounting or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • Post-graduate Tax qualification or significant experience in similar roles (preference will go do HDipTax / Masters in Tax holders)
