Truworths is seeking a creative Graphic Designer to design original artworks, branding, and prints aligned with fashion trends. This role involves working closely with Buyers, Fashion Designers, and Manufacturers to create unique and fashionable prints. The position is based at the Head Office in Cape Town.

Responsibilities

• Design placement graphics, branding, and all-over prints for different fabric types and garment styles
• Research international and local print and fashion trends to determine key directions
• Advise Buyers and Designers on translating trends into fashionable graphics for the South African market
• Prepare graphics and prints for production from a technical perspective
• Provide styling, branding, and graphic suggestions
• Utilize both computer-aided design and freehand sketching

Qualifications

• Graphic Design, Surface/Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related qualification
• Technical ability to design graphics for garments and fabrics
• Basic understanding of various print techniques (screen prints, digital prints)
• Knowledge of the latest branding and graphic trends
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
