Description

As the IT Site Lead at Vector Midrand, you will drive the performance and uptime of critical IT services supporting 24x7 logistics operations. This hands-on role involves advanced desktop support, managing network and hardware infrastructure, and ensuring seamless video conferencing across teams. You'll collaborate on cutting-edge logistics technologies, including handheld scanners, voice-picking solutions, and EPOD devices, while contributing to IT operations, infrastructure management, and project leadership within a global organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level desktop support for IT hardware and software issues
• Administer network services, including zScaler, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, LANs, and cloud platforms like Azure
• Manage onsite video conferencing systems and fire safety system configurations
• Maintain IT hardware inventory, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals
• Lead small-scale IT projects and ensure alignment with company-wide standards
• Troubleshoot, patch, and secure endpoints against vulnerabilities
• Implement automation using PowerShell for routine tasks
• Ensure compliance with security standards and provide incident response
• Collaborate with central IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders
• Provide after-hours and on-call support as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Certifications: ITIL (IT service management best practices)
• Microsoft Azure
• Microsoft Intune
• Office 365 Certification
• MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)
• Networking Certifications (eg CCNA)
