Automation Tester

Design, develop and maintain automation scripting from manual test cases and ensure the implementation thereof.

Testing IT Performance Contribute to the design and execution of mobile, website, and application software tests
Maintain regression test scripts and handle performance, automation, service, and stress scripting responsibilities
Collaborate within the testing team to improve overall product quality through effective test automation
Quality Assurance Plan, coordinate, and oversee the testing of automation scripts
Initiate and monitor corrective actions or continuous improvement efforts to ensure they are effective
Review and execute complex test scripts, monitor automated script execution, and ensure results are accurately recorded
Project Reporting and Review Draft sections of project review reports and presentations to support project evaluations and reviews
Insights and Reporting Contribute to preparing detailed data and analytics reports for stakeholders
Data Collection and Analysis Collate and analyze data using predefined tools and methodologies
Communicate findings effectively to relevant stakeholders to aid decision-making
Work Scheduling Organize daily tasks based on shifting priorities and project requirements
Participate in daily scrum meetings to discuss project status, address roadblocks, and define next steps
Fault Diagnosis Conduct fault isolation to identify and resolve issues promptly
Escalate unresolved issues to the development team for further investigation

Matric / Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited (Essential); ISTQB foundation certificate (Essential); Relevant IT degree/ diploma (Advantageous) Experience in automation testing (Essential); Experience in testing and analytics (Essential); Experience working with various test automation tools (Essential); Methodology knowledge and experience working with Devops Azure/ Agile/ Waterfall Methodologies (Essential)
