Lindsay Saker is offering an Accredited Competency-Based Modular Training (CBMT) programme for applicants seeking professional on-the-job training. Under the guidance of a Qualified Motor Vehicle Mechanic, the Lindsay Saker Motor Mechanic Apprenticeship combines on-the-job training (OJT) with relevant classroom learning. Theoretical, classroom-based instruction is provided by the Imperial Technical Training Academy (TTA), located at Ext. 4, 16 Dakota Cres, Airport Park, Johannesburg, 1401.

Responsibilities

• Participating in computer-based testing and examinations, practical competency testing, and MIBCO assessments
• Collecting proof to fulfill TTA's requirements for your portfolio of evidence
• Assisting a designated technician to learn how to perform excellent service maintenance and repairs in accordance with the original manufacturer's specifications
• Completing a portfolio of supporting documentation
• Undergoing training with a competent technician to inspect, maintain, and repair automobiles

Qualifications

• Matric ( with Mathematics & Physical Science ) (N2 with Mathematics, Engineering Science & English (50% are essential)
• Driver’s License
• Computer literacy
• The applicant will be required to take a mechanical insight test & pass sufficiently
