Diesel Mechanic (Motor Trade) - SAFCOL Apprenticeship

Description

As a Diesel Mechanic apprentice, you will receive training in maintaining and repairing diesel engines used in industrial vehicles and equipment. Your apprenticeship will include classroom learning and practical training at Timbadola sawmill, preparing you for work in the motor trade.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to diagnose and repair diesel engine problems
  • Perform routine maintenance on industrial vehicles
  • Complete both theoretical and practical training
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment are functioning efficiently
  • Take the Trade Test to become a certified Diesel Mechanic

Qualifications

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be aged between 18 and 35
  • Grade 12 is recommended (not mandatory)
  • Minimum N2 or Level 3 TVET certificate in Diesel Mechanic trade theory
