At PwC, the BI Business Analyst role focuses on leveraging data to drive insights and enable data-driven decision-making for clients. By utilising advanced analytics techniques, you will assist clients in optimising operations and achieving strategic objectives. The role requires strong collaboration with stakeholders and developers, translating business needs into actionable data solutions, and contributing to the full SDLC process. You will be hands-on with building data models, creating dashboards, and validating data concepts to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business data requirements
• Perform data analysis, profiling, and quality assessments
• Design and develop conceptual and logical data models aligned with business objectives
• Support data integration and ETL processes, including source-to-target mappings
• Build and test data prototypes to validate data concepts and models
• Write functional specifications for data transformations in collaboration with development teams
• Conduct testing and validation for data accuracy and reliability
• Develop dashboards and visualizations using tools like Power BI
• Provide actionable insights from data analysis to support business decisions
• Stay updated with relevant BI trends and tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analysis, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, BI, or data management
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques (Kimball methodology preferred)
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
• Familiarity with data integration, ETL, and source-to-target mapping
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and basic DevOps knowledge is advantageous
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail
