Crayon is on a mission to find a Finance Manager (Cloud Manager) to join their ever-growing team in the Pretoria office. You will lead a team of cloud accountants to oversee clients and all their accounting requirements. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with startups and small businesses, embraces challenges, and is eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Monthly accounting and processing for SMEs
• Payroll processing via SimplePay
• Legislative processing, including SARS returns (VAT, PAYE, ITR)
• Provisional tax calculations and discussions with clients
• Engaging with clients, solving accounting problems, and building strong relationships
• Reviewing client accounts and providing team support and direction
• Managing a team and offering financial management support to SMEs
• Ad-hoc accounting project work and advice as requested by clients

Qualifications

• Degree/Honors Degree in Management Accounting or Accounting
• Professional designation: CA(SA), CGMA, or Professional Accountant
• 1-3 years of post-articles experience
• Experience in cloud-based systems such as XERO, Dext/Hubdoc, SimplePay, Dear Systems, and Vend
• Proficient in drafting Annual Financial Statements on CaseWare or DraftWorx
• Experience in filing provisional tax and income tax returns (Companies and Individuals)
• 2+ years of experience managing people
• Client-facing experience is required
