Responsibilities

• Collaborate on SIEM implementation and monitoring
• Assist in evaluating and integrating code verification tools to enhance software security
• Conduct system reviews and vulnerability assessments
• Support the development of security policies and best practices
• Participate in in-house training on cybersecurity tools and technologies
• Stay updated on industry trends and certifications
• Work closely with team members to identify and mitigate security risks
• Contribute to team discussions and problem-solving sessions

Qualifications

• South African Citizen
• Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent (vendor-specific certifications such as AWS, Microsoft, or Cisco are a plus)
• A relevant degree is not mandatory but is considered an asset
• No experience required but a proactive and enthusiastic attitude is essential
• Based in Cape Town or willing to relocate
• Medically fit according to the Mine Health and Safety Act
• Clear criminal record
