The Business Analyst I at Capitec Bank is responsible for optimizing business processes using automation, digital, and communication technologies. They analyze business requirements, design functional specifications, and develop solutions. Key responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, process design, report development, and Agile and SDLC principles.

Responsibilities

• Optimize Business Efficiencies: Leverage automation, digital, information, and communication technologies to improve processes
• Analyze Business Requirements: Systematically analyze and define business requirements and functional specifications
• Develop and Design Solutions: Create and implement business solutions, ensuring continuous improvement
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a conduit between business stakeholders, Technology, and the product team
• Translate Requirements: Convert business needs into actionable business processes, context diagrams, and visual explanations
• Functional and Process Design: Design evidence-based, best-practice functional and business processes
• Engage Stakeholders: Facilitate communication and collaboration across business and technical environments
• Report Writing: Design and develop reports using tools like SQL, Power BI, and Excel

Qualifications

• Minimum: A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Analysis
• Preferred: Additional education or certification in related fields
• 2–4 years of working experience in various business analysis areas, including:
• Independent work on small assignments
• Supervised work on larger assignments
• Completion of Capitec's BA School of Learning Level 2 (internal)
• Experience with business and data analysis
• Knowledge of translating requirements into business processes and diagrams
• Functional and business process design experience
• Exposure to Agile development lifecycle principles
• Experience with systems and tools such as SQL, Power BI, Excel (Intermediate–Advanced), and AWS
