Nedbank is looking for a skilled Business Analyst III to join the team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enabling change by applying business analysis principles to define the needs and rationale for change, assess the current state, and determine the required activities to transition to the future state. This role requires working collaboratively with Product Designers, Business Architects, Testers, Business Data Managers, and key roles across the requirements value chain. The candidate will focus on complex enterprise initiatives, utilizing an agile mindset and adhering to IIBA best practices to support and optimize business processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct iterative planning and coordinate business analysis efforts for complex projects
• Elicit and analyze requirements, organize designs, and manage requirements lifecycle from inception to retirement
• Conduct strategy analysis and solution evaluation to define future states and assess solution performance
• Use visual diagrams, collaborative games, and other techniques to model scope, processes, data flows, and interfaces
• Align requirements with portfolio strategic themes, product roadmap, KPIs, and metrics
• Decompose epics, features, and user stories, including writing acceptance criteria and developing scenarios
• Collaborate with development, QA, and stakeholders for testing, backlog refinement, and increment planning
• Drive DevOps, built-in quality principles, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Foster stakeholder relationships and actively participate in ceremonies alongside Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches, and Product Owners
• Ensure early remediation of risks, issues, and reduce waste and rework

Qualifications

• Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
• IT qualification
• Certificate in Business Analysis endorsed by IIBA
• SAFe Certification
• 5–8 years of experience in business analysis, managing multiple IT projects, and handling complex business projects
• Strong exposure to industry practices and guiding others on effective use of common techniques
