RCL Foods is seeking a motivated, analytical Production Clerk for its baking business unit in Durban. The role entails ensuring stock integrity in production, accurate data capture, reporting, and completion of all production-related administration tasks. This position reports to the Production Manager and is a permanent role.

Responsibilities

• Complete WO creation based on PLC data and ensure full and accurate parts issuance
• Ensure all WO statuses are updated timely (Status 95 or as needed)
• Receive hourly feedback from the floor to maintain WO accuracy
• Perform daily cycle counts, report variances, and provide explanations
• Adhere to SOP and maintain complete documentation by the correct personnel
• Complete daily yield and consumption reports and note any anomalies; share final reports each shift
• Follow SOP and maintain thorough documentation on all transfers
• Issue blades, gloves, and maintain records for loaves given to staff
• Track production consumable levels and complete production documentation accurately
• Capture daily meter readings and ensure proper shift handovers
• Report any data abnormalities and communicate inconsistencies

Qualifications

• Education: Grade 12 (Tertiary qualification is advantageous)
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in an administrative or data capture role; experience with JDE and in a production FMCG environment is advantageous
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, communication)
• Strong numeracy and computer skills, particularly in Excel and email
• Good stock-taking and cycle-counting abilities
