The position involves providing IT support for the USAID-funded Resilient Cities Limpopo Program, which aims to enhance access to water, sanitation, and waste services in the Limpopo River Basin region. The IT Specialist will work in coordination with the US IT Team and local partners to ensure IT systems are properly configured and maintained, supporting program staff in Botswana, Mozambique, and South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Configure project-funded computers and smartphones as per Tetra Tech standards
• Troubleshoot hardware and network issues
• Manage IT inventory and ensure compliance with Tetra Tech policies
• Support the HO IT Team with network configuration and device connectivity
• Maintain the project’s IT infrastructure for uninterrupted operations

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant IT experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 setup, Dell hardware, and networking
• Experience with Azure, Active Directory, SharePoint, and remote desktop support
• Effective problem-solving and customer service skills
• Knowledge of TeamViewer or similar software
• Fluency in English , Portuguese is a plus
• Authorization to work in South Africa
• IT certifications and a Driver’s License are advantageous
