The Trainee Auditor position at Pick n Pay offers a three-year CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) training opportunity in the retail industry. Successful candidates will work in Internal Audit, gaining hands-on experience across various areas within the retail space while adhering to the professional standards set by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). This role is designed for individuals who have completed their Degree or Honours in Internal Audit and are looking to develop both professionally and personally. The position is based in Cape Town, and trainees will be responsible for their own relocation and accommodation costs if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits across various areas of the retail business
• Adhere to the professional standards set by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)
• Develop and demonstrate professional values and attitudes in alignment with IIA guidelines
• Gain exposure to different audit disciplines within the retail sector
• Assist in identifying risks and evaluating internal controls within the business
• Work under supervision while gradually taking on more responsibilities as part of the CIA articles
• Complete the training contract within the three-year duration to work towards the CIA qualification
• Collaborate with team members and management to ensure audit objectives are met
