Peermont is seeking enthusiastic applicants to work as a professional Gardener. The role involves overseeing the upkeep and care of gardens, plants, and lawns throughout the complex. Responsibilities include maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of outdoor spaces through regular tasks such as watering, pruning, and mowing. Additionally, the Gardener will address plant health issues like pests or diseases and maintain garden areas in line with landscaping plans.

Responsibilities

• Engage in soil cultivation, planting, weeding, watering, and pruning to ensure plant health
• Operate gardening tools and machinery like mowers, strimmers, and leaf blowers
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations
• Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, and trees
• Maintain lawns, pathways, and other garden structures
• Monitor and treat plants for pests and diseases
• Maintain and store gardening equipment securely and cleanly
• Design and implement planting layouts for aesthetic purposes
• Keep records of plant care schedules and garden maintenance activities

Qualifications

• Hold a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
• Knowledge and ability to operate horticultural machinery
• Strong knowledge of plants, organizational skills, and adherence to schedules
