Description

The ICT Applications Management role is responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and support of software applications within the organization. The successful candidate will ensure that all applications are functioning efficiently and meeting the evolving needs of the business. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, and provide ongoing technical support to users. The candidate will also be tasked with troubleshooting application issues, optimizing performance, and implementing regular updates to improve functionality and security. A deep understanding of programming, databases, and system integration is crucial in this role. The ideal candidate will also excel at translating user needs into practical application improvements and ensuring that systems remain secure, stable, and aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the development, maintenance, and support of software applications
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure applications meet business requirements and performance standards
  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes to ensure system stability
  • Facilitate regular updates and upgrades to applications to improve functionality and security
  • Collaborate with end-users to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to enhance user experience
  • Ensure that all application-related documentation is up to date and accessible
  • Provide technical support to application users and resolve any operational issues
  • Participate in system integration and testing to ensure seamless functionality across platforms

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Systems, or System Development
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript
  • Experience with application support, software troubleshooting, and issue resolution
  • Familiarity with database management systems like SQL, Oracle, or MySQL
  • Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders
