Description

Babcock Africa Services is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Graduate to gain practical experience in the steam generation and energy industry. The position is permanent, with a minimum education level of Bachelors Degree or Advanced Diploma. The candidate will be located in Riley Road, Bedfordview, Gauteng, South Africa, and will be responsible for technical support, project participation, compliance with regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance practices. They will also collaborate with other engineers, architects, project managers, and stakeholders on multidisciplinary projects. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, people skills, an optimistic and curious mindset, and logical and critical thinking skills. The closing date for applications is 2025/08/08.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with engineering design, analysis, and calculations
  • Participate in the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and presentations
  • Work on various aspects of engineering projects, such as planning, design, and implementation, in coordination with senior engineers
  • Collaborate with other engineers, architects, project managers, and stakeholders on multidisciplinary projects
  • Continuously learn and apply engineering principles, software tools, and industry best practices

Qualifications

  • Mechatronic Engineering Degree
  • No Post University experience required
  • Self - motivated, energetic and ability to motivate others
  • Ability to make tough decisions and manage complexity
