Description

The City of Johannesburg is offering an 18-month internship in Capital Systems & Repairs for graduates in engineering or project management. The internship is part of the Social Development Department's Management Support Unit, aiming to provide practical work experience to graduates from Johannesburg communities. The internship will last for not exceeding 18 months and will offer a monthly stipend of R10 109.86. The role requires the intern to apply a design plan aligned with an approved business case and support the preparation and implementation of systems. Key performance areas include developing and communicating relevant business plans and procedures, maintaining professionalism, and maintaining ethical standards. The internship is open to youth from Johannesburg who meet the specified qualifications and have not previously participated in an internship program. Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate relevant business plans and procedures to all stakeholders to ensure strategic goals of the Facilities Operations Unit are achieved
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in executing responsibilities
• Uphold high levels of integrity and professionalism in all work responsibilities

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
• A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in a built environment discipline such as Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Building
• A Project Management Certificate or a Degree in Administration or Management
