Description

Old Mutual is looking for a Quantitative Developer to support its LDI business by enhancing and maintaining its technology stack, data infrastructure, and quantitative models. The ideal candidate will have a mix of programming skills, investment knowledge, and a passion for solving complex problems through data and software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain software applications and data pipelines
  • Support Quantitative Analysts and Portfolio Managers by building and maintaining BI and quantitative models
  • Design and implement scalable data solutions
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Work with databases, focusing on efficient data storage and retrieval
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and implement technical requirements
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data processing issues to ensure accuracy
  • Research and apply quantitative techniques relevant to LDI-style investing
  • Assist in running benchmarking, valuation, and optimisation models
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Qualifications

  • NQF Level 7 - Degree, Advance Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate or equivalent
