Description

We are looking for a passionate and committed Motion Design Intern to join our team for a 12-month structured internship. This is an opportunity to transform your creative potential into real-world skills tailored for the broadcast television and digital communications in the Entertainment industry. You’ll collaborate with our Creative, Production, and Marketing teams, gaining first-hand experience in delivering high-quality motion graphics for TV and digital platforms. Expect to grow your artistic vision, technical expertise, and professional discipline in a friendly and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Conceptualise and design motion graphics for TV, digital, and social media campaigns
Working hands-on in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop to create animations, graphic assets, and storyboards
Learning to adapt design and animation to the needs of broadcast standards and brand guidelines
Developing 3D skills (e
g
, Blender, Cinema4D or equivalent), with mentorship to integrate 3D into daily motion design work
Experiment with and learn generative AI tools to enhance creative workflows
Assisting the senior Motion Designers with production tasks, asset preparation, and file management
Participating in creative reviews: receive feedback, iterate on your work, and learn to defend your ideas diplomatically
Working with Marketing team members to understand briefs, target audiences, and key messages
Developing accountability by managing your time, meeting deadlines, and delivering on expectations
Supporting the department’s daily operational tasks, maintaining organised files and clear communication
Contributing with your artistic interests (illustration, photography, music etc
) to enrich team’s creativity

Qualifications

National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) – Essential
Diploma in Audiovisual Communication, Motion Design and/or Animation and/Graphic Design (NQF Level 6) – Essential
