Description

The individual in the role is required to view material intended for broadcasting on eMedia’s network of channels and complete quality assurance review of this material, ensuring that it meets the e.tv technical standards and complies with specifications of the various channels. The individual in the role is also required to ensure material information is timeously loaded on the Broadcast Management System.

Responsibilities

• Analysing audio and video quality of programmes in real time
• Ensuring that the technical requirements and/or quality of all media operations material is in line with the Internal and External broadcasting specifications
• Ensuring that all timings and other relevant information are correctly loaded on the Media and Broadcasting Management systems
• Ensuring that all material required for broadcasts are ingested and a quality assurance review is performed on ingested material as per the schedule
• Ensuring the correct material is captured and conforms to broadcast standards
• Evaluating images and processes through PSE (Photosensitive Epilepsy) test, when required

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) – Essential
• Diploma in Video Editing (NQF Level 6) – Essential
