Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth equity research in the metals and mining/resources sector
• Build, maintain, and update financial models to support company valuation and forecasting
• Monitor macroeconomic trends, policies, and geopolitical developments impacting financial markets
• Collect and analyse data from financial statements, industry reports, and market sources
• Interpret and present financial data through clear charts, tables, and written analysis
• Prepare detailed, well-documented research reports and investment recommendations
• Communicate research findings effectively to both internal stakeholders and external clients
• Stay current on industry developments and competitive landscape within the resources sector
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal governance policies
• Collaborate with teams and contribute innovative ideas to support client and business needs

Qualifications

• CA(SA) or CFA qualification
• Minimum 3 years of equity research experience, preferably in the metals and mining/resources sector
• Strong interest and knowledge of financial and equity markets
• Proven ability to build and maintain financial models for valuation and forecasting
• Experience in analyzing macroeconomic indicators and their impact on financial markets
• Skilled in gathering and synthesizing financial and industry data from multiple sources
• Ability to produce clear, insightful research reports and presentations
• Strong communication skills to convey findings to internal and external stakeholders
• Up-to-date understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements
• A curious, analytical mindset with a drive for continuous learning and excellence
