Description

The Business Administration Learnership at homechoice is a 12-month work-integrated learning opportunity designed to empower unemployed youth (matriculated between 2022–2024) by equipping them with practical administrative skills and foundational business knowledge. Participants will gain exposure to core areas such as record management, team collaboration, ethics, time management, and problem-solving in a vibrant retail environment. This learnership combines on-the-job training with structured learning to prepare learners for long-term employability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues to manage and improve administrative systems
• Assist in enhancing operational and organisational efficiency
• Provide routine and ad hoc information in a timely and accurate manner
• Support day-to-day tasks within the administrative department
• Demonstrate teamwork and actively contribute to a knowledge-sharing environment
• Embrace and promote cultural awareness and workplace diversity
• Recognise and respond to potential risks, including office fraud
• Apply effective time management techniques to meet deadlines and priorities

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Matric/Grade 12 with at least 50% in: Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
• English Home Language
• First Additional Language
• Additional Requirements: Matriculated between 2022–2024
• Currently unemployed
• Willing and able to commit to a 12-month learnership
• Punctual, disciplined, and reliable
• Basic computer literacy
• Strong communication skills
