Description

As an Industrial Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring that all manufacturing processes and outputs meet the highest quality standards. Based at our Nigel Plant, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Quality Control Plans, managing site-level quality activities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Alstom’s Zero Defect Program. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including manufacturing, engineering, and project teams—you will lead quality audits, manage non-conformities, and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Your technical expertise will contribute to the development of PFMEAs, implementation of lean quality practices, and coaching of teams on quality tools and methodologies. This role offers a dynamic environment where you’ll drive operational excellence, support key business objectives, and contribute to the delivery of safe, reliable, and high-quality products that shape the future of mobility.

Responsibilities

  • As a Graduate in Organisational Design and Development, you will be expected to:
  • Participate in a structured graduate training programme focused on HR and organisational development practices
  • Complete tasks and activities outlined in the Department or Area Competency Logbook (Development Programme)
  • Assist with technical support and day-to-day HR functions within the training and development department
  • Engage in regular performance reviews and assessments as part of your development journey
  • Contribute to organisational improvement initiatives through process evaluation and administrative support
  • Support data gathering, analysis, and reporting for OD projects and interventions
  • Collaborate with HR team members to enhance employee development programmes and initiatives
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach in learning and applying HR best practices within a manufacturing environment

Qualifications

  • B Tech/ BA Degree/ B Com Degree in Human Resources Management (Essential)
  • Bachelor of Human Resources Development (Desirable)
  • An average pass mark of 60% and above (Essential)
