Description

As an ICT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to all users regarding applications, equipment, and associated infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the seamless operation of network systems, operating systems, and business-critical applications. Key responsibilities will include the installation, configuration, testing, and ongoing maintenance of IT systems and software, ensuring they meet both operational and business requirements. You will assist in the implementation, development, and upgrading of IT business applications, actively contributing to their smooth integration and supporting their continuous improvement to enhance service delivery. In addition to technical support, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of administrative functions within the ICT department, including asset management, financial oversight, procurement, and supplier management. Your ability to work cross-functionally, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and liaise effectively with internal teams and external suppliers will be vital in ensuring the optimal performance of ICT services and systems. By providing professional, responsive, and proactive support, you will contribute directly to the operational success and productivity of the organization.

Qualifications

  • National Senior Certificate or equivalent
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related field (advantageous)
  • 2 years’ experience in a technical support role
  • 2 years’ experience in an administrative and/or finance-related role Understanding and experience in:
  • supporting various Microsoft Office packages
  • network setups and issue resolution
  • desktop / laptop hardware troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Knowledge of:
  • networking and hardware (intermediate level)
  • computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules and peripherals (basic to intermediate level)
  • asset management systems, ticketing tools, and procurement workflows
  • Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom)
  • Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
