Description

To develop and maintain best practice models and assessment strategies in line with regulations (where applicable) to facilitate world-class risk management and/or attainment of strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Build and present reports by monitoring business performance
  • Monitor and advise operational areas
  • Liaise with stakeholders through model build and strategy development
  • Increase efficiencies through programming and automation
  • Ensure compliance through communication and external engagement
  • Peer review and challenge model builds across the cluster
  • Participate in corporate citizenship initiatives
  • Improve business processes, models, and systems
  • Align product/solution design with business requirements
  • Ensure documentation and continuity through formal sign-offs
  • Data accuracy through front-end and back-end analysis
  • Maintain policy consistency
  • Conduct impact analysis for new products
  • Analyze and review reporting accuracy
  • Advise operational areas for optimal resource allocation
  • Manage access control and compliance
  • Identify and act on risks in processes/models/reporting
  • Align with Nedbank’s strategy and business plans
  • Pursue professional growth and training
  • Share knowledge and industry trends with teams

Qualifications

  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
  • Preferred: Postgraduate degree in Statistics/Mathematics, CFA/FRM/CQF
  • 3–5 years relevant experience in an analytical environment
