Old Mutual is offering an internal Black Broker Internship Programme that will expose graduates and interns to the full suite of broker activities within Old Mutual Insure. This hands-on programme includes lead generation, cold calling, networking, sourcing partnerships, and learning about products and underwriting through various training sessions. Interns will also participate in regular team meetings, peer-to-peer sessions, and performance check-ins to ensure continuous development and performance tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation and cold calling
• Canvassing and sourcing partnerships or collaborations
• Networking and managing external events
• Performing admin and housekeeping duties
• Participating in product knowledge and underwriting training
• Attending daily and weekly team meetings
• Submitting weekly sales and performance feedback
• Engaging in peer-to-peer and scheduled learning sessions

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with a minimum of 50% in Mathematics/Mathematics Literacy and English
• A post-Matric tertiary qualification: FSCA-recognised 3-year qualification such as Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Accounting, Business Accounting, Business Informatics, Enterprise Risk Management, Insurance & Risk Management, Bachelor of Accountancy, or Bachelor of Business Administration
• Minimum qualification: NQF Level 6
• Must be based in KwaZulu-Natal
• Own transport and a valid driver’s license preferred
• Must not be enrolled in any other internship or bursary programme for 2025/2026
• Must have a clear credit and criminal record
