Description

The City of Ekurhuleni’s Real Estate and Development Planning Department is offering a learnership opportunity that includes both training and placement phases. The learnership aims to develop customer service skills, communication techniques, and call handling proficiency. Successful candidates will receive structured training and work experience, with career advancement and performance incentive opportunities available. Learners will be required to sign a learnership agreement with the relevant SETA and the City.

Responsibilities

  • Work for the employer as part of the learning process
  • Handling inbound and outbound calls
  • Answer and process customer calls efficiently, following company scripts and guidelines
  • Assist customers with order placements, inquiries, complaints, and general support
  • Provide clear and professional communication, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Accurately capture and update customer details in the system
  • Follow up on customer queries and unresolved issues to ensure timely resolution
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to enhance call handling
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions

Qualifications

  • Matric / Grade 12 (or equivalent)
  • SA Citizen
  • Resident of City of Ekurhuleni (proof of residence is required)
  • Computer literate
  • Communication skills
  • Customer service orientated
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
