Description

The purpose of this role is to perform software testing for BankservAfrica’s system development team. The Software Tester will execute internal and client acceptance tests, ensuring that software products meet quality standards. The role involves executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with various internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and resolution of issues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver testing for client/company-specific projects in alignment with standards
• Test new applications and enhancements to existing systems
• Assist in preparing and reviewing test cases and test packs
• Link test cases to requirements for traceability
• Prepare test data and provide effort estimations
• Execute test cases and apply advanced testing techniques
• Record and interpret results; log defects
• Conduct regression testing
• Collaborate with test managers, analysts, developers, and product owners
• Assist clients during user acceptance testing cycles

Qualifications

• Matric (required)
• Relevant Certificate, Diploma, Degree, or related experience
• ISTQB Foundation Certificate (advantageous)
• Minimum 4 years of software testing experience
• Clear understanding of the testing lifecycle within the SDLC
