Support the East Coast Radio marketing and content team by crafting compelling copy for radio scripts, social media, digital platforms, and promotional campaigns. Develop creative writing skills and gain experience in a fast-paced media environment based in Durban North.

Responsibilities

• Writing for On Air Production such as Live Reads
• Writing for Ad Production
• Writing for Station Brand Imaging Production
• Learn to write, read scripts, and place key elements for voice directing
• Assist in the general operations of the production department, especially managing production briefs for the entire production team
• Work within your team to promote a high-performance culture

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Journalism/Media/Marketing/Communication/PR/English or related field
• Radio Knowledge Advantageous
• Code 08 Drivers License
• Good knowledge of English language and literature
• Knowledge of PC and/or Mac computer systems
• Writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Strong research skills
• Highly creative
• Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
• Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice
• Writing clear, compelling copy for various mediums
• Edit and proofread copy as needed
• Ability to research and keep up with Global Trends
• Highly organized, deadline driven, with good time keeping skills;
• Team player, with the ability to work independently
• Broad general knowledge and general computer literacy (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/ Outlook)
