Hollard Life Solutions is looking for a BI Developer to join the Data, BI & Analytics Department. The role involves developing dashboards and reports to support business decisions, automating and improving manual processes, and reconciling data from various sources. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and reporting tool experience, with a drive to ensure data accuracy and usability while collaborating with stakeholders to meet analytical needs.

Responsibilities

• Report Development: Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, SSRS, etc
• Data Extraction & Transformation: Write SQL queries to clean and transform data
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with users to define reporting needs
• Performance Optimization: Tune queries for performance efficiency
• Data Validation: Ensure report data accuracy and consistency
• Documentation: Maintain clear records of data models and report specs
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting capabilities
• Troubleshooting: Address data inconsistencies, errors, and report failures
• Automation & Improvement: Identify ways to streamline processes and automate workflows
• Customer Service: Maintain professional stakeholder engagement aligned with SLAs
• Process Compliance & TCF: Ensure quality and fairness in all processes
• Employee Growth: Take ownership of career development through regular engagement

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Sciences, Data Science, or Business Analysis
• BI Certification (eg Microsoft MCITP, Kimball Certification) – advantageous
