Toys R Us and Babies R Us South Africa, part of the “World’s Greatest Toy Stores”, is seeking a dynamic and passionate Shop Assistant to join their Canal Walk store. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual who thrives on delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales. As a Retail Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring a WOW shopping experience for customers, maximizing sales, and maintaining excellent store performance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver AWESOME customer service to create a WOW experience
• Attend to unique shopping needs and always prioritize the customer
• Provide prompt and relevant service on the sales floor and telephone
• Adhere to all customer service standards
• Assist customers with product selection, pricing, and warranty information
• Promote and sell goods including add-on sales and services
• Ensure correct pricing and display of goods
• Execute promotions on time and as planned
• Follow merchandising, layout, and housekeeping standards
• Report fast and slow sellers to the Store Manager
• Participate in stock counts and help minimize stock loss
• Maximize sales and minimize expenses in assigned area
• Protect company assets within your area of responsibility
• Comply with all internal SOPs and contribute to a culture of confidentiality and innovation

Qualifications

• Matric Certificate
• Minimum of 6 months retail experience
• Must have own or reliable transport to work shifts
