Description

As a Functional Developer, you will serve as the bridge between business requirements and technical implementation within policy administration systems (like OIPA). You’ll work with project managers, BAs, developers, and QA specialists to configure insurance products and ensure correct system behavior.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage releases for Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) Collaborate with tech and business teams to align system configuration with business rules Analyze problems to maintain data and process integrity Continuously learn configuration syntax and insurance industry concepts Participate in client interactions and contribute to service delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or equivalent experience Strong math skills and attention to detail Familiarity with XML, SQL, relational databases, MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio) Understanding of system design and development processes Excellent written and spoken English Self-motivated and proactive learner 1–3 years’ experience with OIPA or similar platforms Knowledge of insurance/annuity products Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) Experience in software testing best practices
