Description

The Data Engineer will work closely with the Mace project team, and occasionally external stakeholders, to support data engineering needs. You’ll be part of a knowledge-sharing community with other BI and data professionals. This role will expose you to Microsoft’s Fabric platform, primarily within data engineering and warehousing workflows, with growth potential into data science and Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).

Responsibilities

• Identify the best method for extracting data from source systems
• Use tools such as Notebooks, Dataflow Gen2, and PowerShell
• Manage credentials and securely interface with Azure Key Vault
• Build integrations with error handling and business logic
• Apply data transformation principles using Data Factory and related tools
• Ensure ingested data meets BI team and business needs
• Store and transform data using a medallion architecture (lake house and warehouse assets)
• Operate and maintain data pipelines, resolving issues and optimizing efficiency
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders on development

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of SQL
• Knowledge of Microsoft’s productivity suite (SharePoint, Teams, Office 365)
• Experience in Python, JSON, R, etc is beneficial but not required
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills in English
• Ability to collaborate in team environments
