Description

As an Actuarial Graduate, you will support the actuarial team in analyzing financial risks, developing pricing models, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will gain hands-on experience in data analysis, reserving, and predictive modeling while working towards actuarial qualifications (e.g., IFoA, CAS, SOA).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and validating actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and capital management
  • Perform statistical analysis using tools like Excel, R, Python, SQL, or SAS
  • Help prepare actuarial reports for internal stakeholders and regulators
  • Analyze claims and underwriting data to refine pricing strategies
  • Support the development of new insurance products or pension schemes
  • Explore predictive analytics, machine learning, and AI applications in actuarial work
  • Benchmark industry trends and competitor pricing
  • Shadow senior actuaries and present findings to the team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, VBA, R, Python, or SQL
  • Knowledge of probability, statistics, and financial mathematics
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
