The YES (Youth Employment Service) Youth Opportunity at Jet in Postmasburg, Northern Cape, is a 12-month fixed-term contract designed to provide young South Africans with valuable work experience in the retail sector. Participants will engage in various aspects of retail operations, including customer service, sales, and store management. This initiative aims to equip youth with practical skills and experience to enhance their employability in the future.

Responsibilities

Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service by assisting shoppers, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Retail Operations: Learn and perform various retail operations and procedures, including handling sales transactions and operating point-of-sale systems
Store Maintenance: Maintain store standards through effective visual merchandising and ensuring the store environment is clean and organized
Stock Management: Assist with stock management tasks such as receiving deliveries, organizing inventory, and conducting stock counts
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store objectives and sales targets
