Nova Pioneer is looking for an Apprentice Teacher to teach Junior Primary grades at Paulshof Primary School. This is an opportunity for an aspiring teacher currently in their 3rd or 4th year of a BEd qualification or completing their PGCE in 2025. The successful candidate will work closely with a Resident Teacher, using an enquiry-based learning approach to support student development.

Responsibilities

• Support Resident Teachers in delivering engaging, enquiry-based lessons
• Infuse joy and passion for learning into lessons
• Set and communicate ambitious goals for students and provide feedback
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress and adjust instructional content accordingly
• Participate in professional growth opportunities, including feedback meetings and instructional coaching
• Communicate with parents via email, telephone, and parent-teacher conferences
• Contribute to co-curricular activities and participate in school events
• Work collaboratively with teachers and deans
• Use technology effectively for instruction

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Education (3rd or 4th year) or a Bachelor's Degree + PGCE
• Not a qualified teacher at the start of 2025
• Specialising in the Foundation Phase
• Provisionally SACE registered
• English and Mathematics teaching experience or curriculum knowledge (experience in Singapore Maths and THRASS is beneficial but not required)
• Understanding of Cambridge curriculum objectives is an advantage
