Description

Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialised utility programs. Analyse user needs and develop software solutions. Design software or customise software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. May analyse and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Application Development: Enhance existing applications and develop new ones based on customer requirements
• Process Improvement: Identify and address inefficiencies in systems and procedures
• Software Maintenance: Detect and fix software defects to ensure smooth functionality
• Performance Testing: Conduct routine tests to diagnose and resolve performance issues
• Information Security: Implement security measures and monitor systems for potential threats
• Skill Development: Continuously learn new technologies, attend training, and stay updated on industry trends
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and approval protocols

Qualifications

• Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential); A recognised software development certification/degree/diploma (Essential)
• 3 or more years experience using relevant programming languages or technologies (Essential); Azure experience (Advantageous)
