Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IT Project Office strategy aligned with organizational goals
  • Collaborate with senior management to prioritize projects and allocate resources
  • Define and standardize project management methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks for consistent project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with project management policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Implement risk management strategies, including identification, assessment, and mitigation
  • Oversee project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals and outcomes
  • Manage project pipeline, ensuring proper initiation, resourcing, and delivery
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, budget, and issues to stakeholders
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • BCom (Information Systems) or similar; Post graduate (MBA/Masters)
  • 10+ years of program and project management experience delivering across large organisations
  • Project management qualifications – Agile, PMBOK or Prince 2
