The City of Tshwane is offering a boilermaking apprenticeship programme to aspiring artisans. This full-time programme provides an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge in the field of boilermaking. Successful candidates will work alongside experienced artisans to develop the necessary skills for a career in this trade.

Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in the boilermaking apprenticeship training programme, both theoretical and practical components
  • Attend all required workshops, classroom sessions, and on-site training
  • Assist in fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures using cutting, shaping, and welding techniques
  • Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Adhere to workplace safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Learn how to safely operate machinery and tools used in boilermaking

Qualifications

  • Technical Matric, NCV Level 4, or N2 Certificate
