Description

Responsibilities

  • Acquiring knowledge and skills of an Artisan in a designated trade
  • Participating in the formal training plan and making progress towards competencies
  • Performing duties required and making progress
  • Attending training or assessments as instructed
  • Maintaining a 60-day training block at Shukela Training Centre
  • Keeping a training record and submitting it to the employer or training organization
  • Acknowledging that all workplace instructions and materials obtained from training remain the employer's property

Qualifications

  • Matric / Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science
  • An N3 (required to apply for Trade Test) is essential
  • Driver’s license will be a benefit
  • Basic understanding of process plant and the importance of maintenance
  • Must be able to obtain health clearance to work in a chemical environment
  • Mechanical experience will be a benefit
  • Hand and Power tools will be a benefit
