Old Mutual Insure is looking for a Data Analyst who will collect, analyse, report, and interpret data for use in the development of business strategies and tactics and in subsequent appraisal of results.

Responsibilities

• Collect business requirements using methods like interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis
• Conduct research and select relevant information for testing, experimental adjustment, and analysis of themes and trends
• Use primary data sources and business intelligence tools for data manipulation and descriptive data analysis
• Support the interpretation of advanced analytics data using specialized software tools to meet business requirements
• Make recommendations to improve data and analytics systems and platforms

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Information systems or similar
• 3 – 5 years’ experience working in the general insurance industry
• SQL
• SSIS
• SSRS
• PowerBI
• Cloud
